Women we like. I first saw Elisha Cuthbert (above) when she co-hosted television's Popular Mechanics for Kids. Soon I was hooked on the show, not just because of her but also because it taught science in such an interesting way.

Caution:  For educational purposes this program pushes the frontiers of knowledge to the limit, going where no one has gone before. They deal with some pretty gross subjects like how your food turns to poo. In one scene Elisha actually eats a cockroach. Never watch this show during mealtime. By the way, Elisha reported that cockroaches do not taste good. I'll take her word for it. What a woman. The Youtube presentation below is on a different subject so don't be afraid to watch it.

Trivia:  We all use soap but how many of us know how it works? Something I learned watching Popular Mechanics for Kids, when I wasn't busy admiring Elisha. Water has something called surface tension. It lets small creatures like mosquitos literally walk on water. Soap breaks down surface tension allowing water to mix more readily with dirt and grime. So it's actually the water that gets your laundry clean. Soap just helps it work more efficiently.
